Type R related topics...

Dear admin/mods...

While im enjoying being a new member here, just wanted to ask...

The order of the forum is very tidy and well set out...

There is a Type R section for just that, but also you have engines, wheel, etc and all other specific sections.

Do you want ALL Type R chat only in the one forum or can we post topics regarding wheels for the Type R in the Wheels section...

So basically are you wanting it all in one place?

Cheers, just i didnt want to mess it up, but all Type R chat in one single forum will be hard to keep track on.

p.s. Im reading that back and it makes sense to me lol

Big Slick,

Good question! (Which means I hadn't really thought about it...)

I would say that if it's CTR specific (which really boils down to the engine), then keep it in the R forum. If it's a common part/question (so that'll be all the electronics for example), then keep it in the appropriate forum.

When this forum started, there weren't many forum areas - but I gradually increased the number of areas as the need arised. If the Type R section grows (I thought it would stay small, given the presence of the CTR site, but then having seen the raging arguments and bickering that goes on there I can see that it might not retain its exclusivity - and also given the fact that R owners can draw on a years worth of experience from regular Civ owners) then I'll add sections to keep things neat and easy.

I'll have a proper look at it and maybe move things around when I get home in a couple of days.

I think as long as we dont increase the number of sub forums then it's fine.

Indeed - I have grown to dislike sub forums.

If I did anything, it would be a new group of forums (like "Welcome" and "Honda Civic"), but called "Type R" - and it would contain General and Engines, or whatever.

Right now there isn't the volume to warrant it, though. But I'll keep watching.

Any Gallery style posts should go into the Gallery - I think it's useful for a prospective buyer to be able to filter and view all types, including R and S, in the same section.

I suppose the other factor is there are much more established TypeR forums.
