How do I get a Trader Status ?

I would like to offer Civinfo members my photography services.

Can someone please confirm the requirements to advertise here as every other forum has their own set of rules and I want to make sure I'm all above board

Many thanks,

Paul.

Originally the General Commercial Posts section was just for companies to advertise and direct enquires to their websites. But we also put our more resourceful members who sell multiple items into that section, to differentiate them because their threads run a different course.

So that lead to confusion about which rules were being followed.

Now, those private members who want to offer a run of products or a service, can post in the "Civinfo Traders" section. Only supporters can start a new thread - so I have a record of their address. These threads will have all the warnings and strict rules that normal for sale threads have, since it's still private individuals buying from other private individuals.

I have amended the trading rules to reflect this.

Civinfo Traders section. This is exactly the same as the For Sale section, except it is for individuals to sell multiple items. Only supporters may post threads, and offers to buy the item must still be made on the thread. From that point, the seller may PM the buyer to arrange payment and delivery.

Do you have a proper registered company with phone number, website etc?

If you do, then you can post in the General Commercial Posts section.

If not, then the Civinfo Trader route mentioned is the correct one.
