general discussion (9G)

I've noticed quite a few general discussion threads being started in the general discussion (9G) section when they don't relate to the 9th gen.

This may be due to screen formatting on mobile devices and the user doesn't see the full name of the section and thinks its just the general discussion section.

Is there any merit of changing the name to '(9G) general discussion' instead of 'general discussion (9G)' ..... as this might prevent wrong section posting.

Use the 'Report' button Paul
Mods will shift them to the correct section
Sometimes they dont see them as quick as us mere mortals

I lookout for anything new on the 9G as I'll be in the market next year.

Anything to keep this area free from 8G will be welcome

Often there's no mods on during the day unfortunately.

I like the idea, anything to proactively keep the 9G section clean is good.

I'm not sure if it is an easy fix, I think I recall something about problems with changing sub-forum names once they are established.

I'll check with Mr P though.

If it can't be easily done then fair enough.

I'm sure you'll let us know one way or another

Excellent!

Should we make the same change to all the 9G forums?

What about possible txt so 8gen states model year as well and the same with 9gen as this might stop people who know less making a simple mistake?
