New gear knob made

Finally managed to get a new knob made. Used 316 stainless. It was very heavy to start with so I had to try and reduce the weight by drilling it out. Now weighs 397 grams.

Nice mate, I particularly like the fact you used 316 instead of 304, you never know when your gear knob is going to come in contact with some clhorine and that extra Molybdenum in the 316 will really help with the corrosion resistance

Yup that's what I though to.... nah not really we tend to use 316 over 304 for most jobs do it's what we had sitting about. No titanium kicking about this time.

Hi thanks, yes it's pretty cold, The top 25mm is solid and it's tapped about 20mm into this so plenty of Thread. Originally when I first made it I tapped the whole length but it weighed almost double so I wanted to reduce the weight of it.

Changed mine today, standard 9th gen one looks great. I like it as it still looks oem and fits with the rest of the interior, before and after pics below!

This one actually came from Lithuania, absolute bargain at £25 inc postage, it's 2015 so basically no wear

There's another one on ebay at the moment I almost bought for £28
You better snap it up quick as they're rare and normally go for £60-70. Good luck

Still have a used Mugen in my possession and another one almost similar like this, but since I'm situated out of the UK, haven't put it here for sale.
