Black spray paint

Does anybody know what's best for spraying the back lights I'm doing a outline Matt black or possibly Matt black or even smoke black question is do I need special paint
or need primer ,then paint, then top coat to seal the paint onto the plastic!

Cheers for any advice

Tint Spray, you can get it on ebay about £8 a can, its very thin so advise not to do it in situ and remove the lights from the car or you will get lots of runs. Get 2 cans to be sure and just do light coats. If it goes dull which it can sometimes then you need to remove and start again or sand and polish it.

Also get the remover spray too incase of errors otherwise you will have a right job getting it off, not impossible just takes 10 times longer.

Alternatively you could just use pinstriping vinyl tbh

I'm doing it to go around my led conversion tail light I've used tigerseal to seal it up looks ok as the misses was saying I think she's be polite lol only a tad blotchy where the cutting disc was slightly rougher not smooth don't get me wrong it's sealed . Just want the outline edge to look neat tidy I was thinking originally vinyl then though erm spray then erh vinyl getting stuck on decisions???

To go around the outer edge hide the tigerseal under the plastic? That's why I need either spray or vinyl

Mask it up, key it with scotchbrite, then give it a coat of plastic primer, topped with black paint. Halfords will do, it's only a thin section so getting a nice finish will be easy

Used 5 coats of e-tech lens tinting kit to spray my rear centre panel, comes with a tint remover in case of mistakes.

Yes, taped around the outside of the lights then masked inside the tape and removed the tape from the outside of lights, also the area where the H badge goes although i had removed the badge before masking.

ddkirk2016 and tricky. You are talking at cross purposes. Tricky tinted pretty much the whole lot and ddkirk is painting the outer edge.
Paint it gloss black. It's pointless painting it mat black and then over-painting with lacquer.

Masking? Old newspaper to mask the middle with 4 strips of masking tape to get the edge and hold the paper in position.
