Aftermarket leather interior?

Hi folks
Thinking of getting my fabric seats re upholstered on my tourer. The fabric is fine but I miss the leather from my accord. They can also add heating pads to the seats. Is it a crazy move? Going to cost over 1k gbp for top quality work.
Cheers
Mick

I don't think it's crazy, just go for a neutral colour so it doesn't affect resale too much, it may even work for you as a selling point as sale time. And you will be happy in the meantime so why not.

Thinking something like that minus the logo. Probably stick close to factory fitted with some white stiching to match the steering wheel

Now that looks lovely! Your right about ditching the logo.

Really like it mate - even with the stock speakers its a million times better than the civic HU (I will sort spks oit in the future). For me having various places to store and access music was important and the bluetooth phone link is really good and very clear. Reverse camera has come into its own once or twice already with low bollards! DVD doesn't get used much as I travel in the car on my own, but its very good even so. Satnav is good too.

How did you get on 'selling' the idea to the missus then?

I havet got around to doing my pitch yet

I went back to the fitter yesterday and he cant do it for a couple of weeks anyway so i have time to ease in the idea.. its expensive but i feel its one of things that might be worth it.. at resale time it will probably add a bit of value to the car..

Re the Avic - next time in the UK with the car I'm very tempted to get one fitted.. its hard to find a specialist..

Its expensive to.. the fascia for the 2014 car has alum insrts so is more expensive.. so when you add a connects kit and fascia you are already nearly at 300 quid... then another 600 for the Avic i am looking at.. its getting close to the price of the leather interior

If I add those two - it will nearly have me at exec spec... which might have been the way to go when buying the car in first place..

Does your reversing cam appear on the radio screen and imid?

Cheers,
Mick

Don't forget that on the standard leather cars not only are the seats leather but also part of the door cards and the top of the centre console.

Yep he is going to do the armrests and door cards also.. he reckoned i could shave 200 off the price if i left them fabric.. but i think if i'm spending that much i might as well go the whole hog and do it right..

The centre console in the EX has leather? Which part? Because all seems plastic, leather is just the seats and side arms?

Anyone got any advice on places in the UK that do it? Preferably in the North West? I'm certainly considering doing it on my G9.
