Timing Diagram

Sorry to bother you, I'm getting engine check code P1009 on my type r, do you know where I can find a timing diagram to check the timing?

Its in the service manual. Not sure its actually available on-line.
Generally if you get that its due to stretched timing chain

Yeah. Its a bit fiddly but can be done.
Takes us about 4 hours.

Sorry but if you cant work out how to actually get to the chain maybe you should be thinking about booking it into a garage local to you that can do it for you

It is pretty straight forward.
Try and get hold of a manual and it explains step by step.
If you can't get an FN2 specific one get a copy of the EP3 one as method is the same.
