TDi North FN2 Turbo kit. ***Low boost Dyno plots P1***

I have started a new thread as the other one seems to have gone slightly sideways somewhat.

Finished kit. Just waiting on a fitting from Pirtek and run the water lines in and we are ready to go.

We have swapped the cams back to the OEM FN2 ones as well so when we get it up and running and fully tuned next week it will be a true reflection of the kit.

Updated with a video of it on the dyno.
Preparing it now for road testing and evaluation but tune is now finished and torque limited to reduce any shock loading on the rods. Once the motors built then we can really wind it up.

Video teaser:

Full video. Massive thanks to "Rapid" Dave.

Been a while coming and not sure why we never posted them up officially but with Dezi's car things kept moving on the project but here are a couple of plots from one of our kits on a car we have just finished.

Car has identical kit to Tims so is a 500+bhp capable kit but this is running on a 100% stock motor.

The plots shown are at stock wastegate pressure of 8PSI and with the boost controller setup for 9PSI.

It's capable of near 500bhp with the internals done that we know.
Plan is to run the car stock motor and set it up for around 330bhp and possibly just torque limit it for safety. The car will be used for a couple of weeks to evaluate and check everything out then the motor will come out for forging. Then we get to have some real fun with it.

That looks unbelievably tidy. Does Dezi ever actually use his car, seeing as its so clean underneath??

Looks a top quality installation - as expected. Be good to see the end result with the forged internals.

Sounds like it has the potential to be mental

Looks like the wastegate is routed back into the exhaust, is there an option to have a screamer pipe instead?

As you are probably aware of other turbo cars we normally stick the screamer pipes out of bonnets, wings or bumpers but in this instance.... And it's a first for us we have actually routed it back into the exhaust.

Tims got delicate ears at his age bless!

Seriously though yes we could have a screamer to atmosphere but will have to cut the undertray and we didn't want to do that on this car.

Being a custom kit you the owner will get choice.

We already have the SI ECU and boost by gear sorted so this will pretty much be the ultimate build for an FN2 Turbo setup when done.

I'd be inclined to run something like an HKS EVC6 if not going for the ECU swap option as can run 3 boost levels and also control boost by rpm.

Just using an open cone filter straight off the turbo.
