2.2 Diesel work

Over the past few months we have been working on a few bits and pieces for the 2.2 Diesel owners out there. (Neil's dads got one so its sort of taken over our priorities! )

You are all probably already aware that a lot of the FN2 exhaust combinations already fit plus there are some drop in air filters we have been trying out. Both work pretty well with small gains on an un mapped car.

We also have an uprated clutch and flywheel solution now that supplied and fitted is 1083. Clutch and flywheel kit is 819

We did the development of a very effective charge-cooler kit last year that significantly reduced intake temperatures which replaced the stock intercooler.

We have now done some work with the ECU and have a pretty good "generic" recalibration for the stock ECU that works really well with 100% stock car and when breathing mods are added gains increase considerably.

We are also in a position to carry out full custom calibrations if required.

The Stage1 remap that we can offer delivered gains of 25ftlb and 20bhp at peak on a totally stock car and has also returned better mpg of 5mpg at worst and 9 at best with combined driving. Boost pressure was increased by 2.5PSI and gains were seen pretty much across the whole rev range. These gains will be significantly increased with the addition of breathing mods.

Below is the before and after curves.

2.2 CDTI remap B&A.pdf

Anyone interested give us a shout. Prices are from 350 for the remaps.

Can you expand on the clutch and flywheel detail ?
How is it better than OEM as you dont say any of its benefits or type of design ?

It does away with the DMF, is overall lighter and increased coverplate pressure.

Probably could of been getting on with a lot more clutch upgrade 'things' if you told someone else.
PMSL....

I would ask how long you have offered this but I fear my eyes would water uncrontrollably and I need to see to work.

Only a few weeks. We tried it out on the car we remapped a couple of weeks before and was after feedback from the owner. I'm a firm believer of listening to feedback from owners who live with the car rather than just pushing a product as a trader and claiming its the best ever....ever.... until the next best thing....EVER comes along!

Alas I invested in Kevlar and SMF at xmas time....after the last 6 paddle and DMF expired at 20k miles.
Think it might have been something to do with the 3mm deep trench in the DMF face.
Poor PP had a nervous breakdown with that..bless.

Good luck with the sale is a naughty word evidently so I'll say it properly

I need one, clutch is slipping.. But will also take a faster map too and with a new exhaust being taken into the map. When will you offer a faster map too ?

What's the new pressure plate like compared to the OEM one? Lots more force?
