Question Microphone Jack

Hi there, I just bought an old 06 Honda Civic EX. It comes with handsfree capability and voice commands but it's not working.... well I've found an exposed audiojack at the top centre on my windscreen/windshield. Can anyone tell me where this jack will need to be plugged in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know nothing about cars.

Such on the forum for HFT (Hands Free Telephone) to reveal more, including having to bake the unit, or more commonly known as solder reflow!

You will most likely find the whole unit has been unplugged as they are a known parasitic battery drain. You find it by taking off the cover under the steering wheel.

I think the battery has been replaced recently. Should a newer battery cope with this extra load? Why is the load so big when the microphone only comes on when activated by the button?
