3" Exhaust on Stock Cams

I'm looking to change the exhaust on my car and in the interest of future proofing I have been doing some research into how well a 3" exhaust will work on an engine with stock cams.

Any opinions welcome.

depends how far you plan on modding your car and what your plans will involve. ie will a slightly smaller exhaust restrict you and how soon?

I dont' really know if it would be a massive problem or not running a 3 incher with stock cams etc but i'm sure more opinions will follow.

I probably should have mentioned in the initial post but I currently have a Tegiwa intake and scoop with group n map.
I have a CPL exhaust manifold and an RBC intake manifold a and possibly a FD2 TB to be fitted and mapped very soon.
I then need to sort out an MOT solution so i started thinking about an exhaust with a removable cat.
