Plastic Clips and White Felt?

Hello

Have just noticed two white clips on the drivers side (and one on the passenger side) where the plastic sills meet up with the floor pan, they have some white felt material underneath them?

Do they do a purpose? only notice when my car is parked up at work as i park on a bit of an incline and can see below this side sills!

Regards

Noise deadening maybe? Not really sure, wonder if anyone else has spotted it on their cars.

Take them off. They're put on when the car is being built but should be taken off when it gets PDI'd at the dealer. They serve no purpose whatsoever now. They're put on when the car gets under sealed i think, other on here will confirm otherwise. I took mine off a while ago

Amazing that after all this time they are still being left on!

I'm wondering whether some dealers/techinicians actually take notice of the service bulletins?
