FN2 Exhaust

Hi, has anyone ever had an exhaust made that is just a single outlet, a single inlet and outlet silencer and obviously using one side of the car if you get my drift.

I understand the splitting the direction of exhaust gasses causes turbulence within the silencer and that just cant be good.

It would be easy to make up a free flow system using a sports silencer 2.75 / 3" bore and it would be probably a big heap cheaper, or is the car very dependable on backpressure or any reason?

Please tell me your thoughts?
