Yorkshire mode (50 mpg in a Type R)

Done today - partly as a challenge received, and partly because I wanted to see if it could be done.

I was confused by the phrase Yorkshire Mode!

Not heard of that one before.

I've changed the title to make it less confusing.

And all because the Accord is in for a service and this is the dealers old nail dis-courtesy car. "Your courtesy car is outside, Sir." Well, I couldn't see a 1.4 anywhere...

Not too bad really, 56 mph was my target speed. On the A500 dual carriageway no problem doing 50 (it's a 50 limit) and the A50 (also d/c) was quite empty.

Tried not to lose too much speed on the roundabouts - for economy reasons only, you understand...

Yeah I found that 50 mph is the magic number which must not be crossed in order to get 'high' mpg in a CTR.

Quick question on the subject of MPG

If you use the cruise control on say a motorway at 70 mph what kind of mpg are you looking at ?
