Worst thing that has happened to your type r ?

Hey ,

Just recently (saturday) i had the worst thing happen ... some absolute **Edit by DR** wrote on my bonnet with permanent marker

3 letters 6 x 3 inches

i ended up getting it off with wd40 and a soft microfibre cloth. Once i got the black ink of i could see i white outline , i then had to polish and buff the bonnect to remove all traces.

I think this happened in a car park while i was at the cinema.

How about you guys ?

No , i just parked in one space as normal ... this place is quite busy, theres tescos , next , cinema , gym etc ... its like a centre. Parked up about 21:30 and then out again by 12:30. Next day when going out to clean the car i seen it on my bonnet and nearly lost the plot , i only had it 2 weeks.

thery wrote ... F T E whatever that means , just someone leaving there mark i suppose. grrrr.

Driving into a post... OUCH! that gotta hurt ? hope you told them it wasnt you :P

Kerbed alloy , nightmare if you park to far away from the kerb you think "hmmm maybe someone will crash into the side of my car , but if i park too close im gonna kill my wheel."

Absolute losers - i only asked because i seen a BMW with a not very nice word written all over it (and he had parked over 3 spaces)

Ye kerbed alloy hurt - what makes it worse is that i wasn't driving. Last time anyone borrows my car

On the way to France in June, we travelled by Ferry from Dover to Calais. It was one of those funny Sea France ferries where the cars are split across two levels. The cars get to the top level via a ramp and drive right to the front of the ship.
When it's time to disembark, the cars on the lower deck drive off first and then the very front section of the upper deck actually pivots down into a ramp and you drive your car down the ramp and off to France.

Well, needless to say my Type-R was parked on the ramped section of the upper deck with a French plate BMW Touring behind it. The ramp pivoted and tilted downwards and the BMW rolled down the ramp straight into the back of my car!! Everyone whose car was on the ramp was stood at the side watching and everyone gasped and looked round etc. Except for me who may have let out an expletive or two.

A Sea France employee rushed over and chocked the BMW but my heart was just thumping in my chest. I couldn't believe it! Not on the first day of our holiday!!

Once the ramp was fully extended I was allowed on to inspect my car fully expecting the bumper to be dented and/or knocked loose.

Fortunately, everything was OK, but I didn't half give the Frenchie a piece of my mind. He hadn't put his handbrake on. What a dimwit. Leaving your handbrake off on the street is bad enough, but on a ferry?!!! Idiot.

The Dealership, that was the worst thing to happen to mine. Botched alloy refurb now the lasting reminder.

And the thought of all the people like me who thrashed it when it was their demo car.

Getting booze for New Year at Tescos.....inside less than 10 minutes....walking back noticed a Focus next to me nipping out quick as he clocked me and yes his passenger had dinged my offside door. Got the paint mark off but the dent is right on the feature-line. Guess it's a call to the Dentmaster ?

Had a peugeot 206 smash into back of me whilst at a roundabout when the car was 5 weeks old and and only about 600 miles on the clock.

Totally gutted for you Sivad.
