Blanking off an exhaust opening

Good morrow chaps/chappesses!

I'm thinking of getting a Martelius catback, and I'm thinking that the empty/unused exhaust port at the rear will annoy me

I've only seen one video where a guy was getting his FN2 wrapped matt black (looked mean as feck BTW), and he seemed to have a translucent black plate over the unused port.

Anyone know of anything like this?

I was thinking maybe a HKS style metal mesh cover (the one that surrounds their tailpipe) but without the hole for the tailpipe. Maybe a DIY jobby.

Any input welcome

Garage
It's not that bad, you can only see its empty if you get down and look directly into the triangle.

If it bothers you that much I'm sure you could easily make something yourself to fill the empty triangle.

I meshed mine for a while but it still annoyed me. I ended up getting a mugen rear splitter mainly starting out for this reason. And now it looks great apart from one side being clean and one dirty...

This is one of the reasons I got a milltek. Empty port, gasses out of one side on cold mornings and one side dirty, one clean. My ocd wouldn't cope.......

I agree on ocd issue, but my desire for a turbo won that battle! Not sure a Miltek would work as well

No point moaning about one side being dirty and the other clean - Just clean your car regularly and you won't have that issue

On a serious note, I also opted for a dual exit so that it didn't look odd with fumes coming out of one side. However, in the pursuit of power, I'd probably give in and opt for a 3" single exit as it's a small compromise for gaining maximum power and flow.

They look good!

Also, might risk the black petrol cap on mine, to match the wheels

Painted the petrol cap on the car. If you have it open you can get round the edges. Had to mask off most the car though.
Haha.
