Alarm problem

Hey guys, anyone know what could be causing this.....recently my alarm has not been setting when i lock the car with the fob, the doors lock but the indicators dont flash and the alarm doesnt set. Weird part is this, when i open the bonnet and lock the car, the indicators flash and the alarm sets, so when its shut, doors lock, alarm wont set. So it appears the car think the bonnet is open when it is indeed shut, and shut when its open....any ideas???!! Im guessing theres a sensor or something under the catch?

There is a sensor directly under the catch. Try to play with it. I had to trick it when my siren was faulty to make car thinking it's open and stop alarm setting off by short circuiting. But if you haven't done this on purpose this might mean that sensor is dead now.

Indeed there is a bonnet catch sensor for the alarm that often plays up http://lmgtfy.com/?q=civinfo+alarm+bonnet
