FN2 idling when cold

Hi,

I've had my ctr over 4 years now, and until recently has been idling at around 2000 rpm until it the engine has warmed up- as aspected. However, recently sometimes when i start the car from cold it idles at around 1,000rpm, and if i rev the engine then the revs will increase to 2,000rpm and drop as the engine warms up! Its like something clears when reving to remind the engine its cold?!

The only engine modification is a k&n panel filter in the original airbox.

The only other difference i have noticed is my mpg has got worse.

Any ideas what it may be?

Thanks in advance for any help!

From what I remember they always idle high from cold then lower when warming up, you could run some BG44K through to see if that helps
