Hot Engine Bay and Warm Cabin

I just started to notice that the engine bay is really hot and the cabin is really warm when ac is not running. I think the warmth inside the cabin is coming from the hot engine bay because if I touch the radio fascia it is a tad warm..

Is this normal? Anyone experienced this? This happens also at night so the sun is ruled out.
