Legit or not?

Hi all, in the market for a type r and im trying to wiggle down good ones to go and look at but i can be a bit clueless. Does this one look ok to go and view?

Only thing that puts me off is the wear on steering wheel seems weird for the car only doing 83000 miles??

Also it says unmodified when the exhaust clearly is but maybe the salesman doesent know them very well.

Also full honda history despite 3 different owners?

The garage has good reviews on google which says a lot to me as they seem genuine.

Used Honda Civic Hatchback 2.0 I Type R 3dr in Dunston, Tyne And Wear | Mainline Uk

Please advise.

Looks good mate..low mileage for year...definately do a Hpi check on it....probes had an exhaust and intake at one point but that shouldn't be anything to worry about if service history and Hpi are all good......obviously there are things to check that you cannot do via a picture....be sure valve clearances were done every 25k (if it's full Honda she then it should have been) and the usual things ...black smoke on vtec ...lack of pull on vtec...excess ticking noises .. Creamy stuff round oil filler cap....if you spot any of these it's most likely a dirty dog mate....but the proof is in the pudding I suppose . Hope that helped

Unfortunately I can't advise on the above, however, have you looked on Check MOT Service.gov? Just google it...it will tell you how the mileage was accumulated over the years and will show you what it failed on previously so you know what's been changed and when. Which should give you an indication of whether it's worth going to see or not....hope it helps!

Ive had a look yes but doesent help much, its had 3 owners so obviously mileage has changed over the years.

Dont suppose you fancy a quick look to see what you think haha

1k overpriced imo and I would want a mint facelift EP3 04 onwards for 4k with that mileage, you can buy a nice 80K FN2 for 5-6k on a 07 plate if you shop around

Garage
i wouldn't pay that for a ep3, as others have said around 1k overprice. mileage shouldnt be a worry on a k20 its more a case of fsh and not being run low on oil.

People keep saying this to me but every other ep3 within 100 miles of me on autotrader is about the same.

I.e. 2004 135,000 on the clock 3500 pounds
2003 140,000 on the clock, 2800 pounds
55 plate 80,000 on the clock, 5750

Its probably one of the lowest mileage/cheapest anywhere near me

Well its refreshing to see on google postive reviews, and the negative ones arent that bad, ive seen a lot of garages with only negative reviews and some bad ones at that

Ignoring the price as its in line with the rest anywhere near me.

Does the advert seem ok or is there anything i should be checking closely when im there?

I.e. does a full honda history seem weird with it having 3 owners?
