Axle stands or Ramps

Hi chaps,

I've installed a catback on a golf GTi previously; using axle stands it wasn't too bad.

Would it be worth getting something along the lines of Metal 2 Tonne Car Ramps Extra Heavy Duty Pair | eBay for when I do the catback on the FN2?

Anyone had experience with both ramps and axle stands want to weigh in?

Many thanks in advance.

I have worked on my civic using both and much prefer axle stands mate. I thought ramps would be better but they were a PITA to get the car up onto on our drive. Also once up on the stands you can take the wheels off too if you want/need to.... not possible on the ramps. Those are nice and cheap though, so I suppose no big deal if you don't get on with them.
