Used Ali Express once, took my money, told me the item wasn't in stock and refunded my money within the hour minus about £5 due to the exchange rate conversions... boycotted ever since

Used it for ordering bike gear, pretty safe. The way it works is when you make an order and pay your money it goes into a holding account. The seller only recieves the money once you acknowledge receipt and are happy the item is "as described".

Ordered a fake Breitling watch which whilst looked great gained 2hrs a day. Raised a dispute and got a refund and kept the watch.

Thanks for the replies I might just give it a go for the sake of £40 for a set of hoses

Seriously?! Have you not been put off by Musegroove's and CraigUK's replies? Sounds like £40 - or part of it - right up the wall to me. Save up for a proper hose set if you really need some coloured rubber in your engine bay.
