FN2 CTR - Rear vibration on start up ?

Hey Guys

Can anyone please help ? Got an annoying vibration on start up , not the exhaust as stst custom, and I have checked this !

Heatshield has seen better days I filled it a little with some filler to try stop the vibration ? Still there thou !

Is it probably going to be the heatshield ? In an area which I can't get at ?

May try pulling off then re fitting new one if it solves the issue , unless anyone thinks it may be coming from somewhere else

Cheers guys

I had to same problem but it was the tailpipe rattling just before the triangle exit. It used to do the same sitting in traffic whilst in idle. Only way to check is if you have a look round whilst some one starts it up.

Hi Mate, exhaust seems all ok as recent custom stainless, don't seem to be getting any knocks etc from exhaust and mine are well back from triangles. Not really a lot else apart from that heatshield that I can see that maybe a culprit.?

Check the flaps behind the jack. I thought it was the exhaust "farting" or vibrating and turned out to be the rubber flaps covering the vents behind the jack.

The curved heat shield over the back box commonly rots its mountings out. Easiest fix is to take it off, but you will need to drop the back box to get access to the bolts.
