Home made intake ?

Iv'e been looking at the HKS intake but its a bit pricey so has anyone made a homemade intake ?

Iv'e been looking at making my own using the ramair fn2 intake then buying an old fn2 airbox cutting the sensor placement off and then a short 3" extension then a hks filter. would this be a good idea or not ?

Have you made one ?

You're not thinking of removing the maf are you?
I did a home made intake, get a spare box with maf holder off eBay.

Sold it a while ago Steve, sounded good for a home made intake and was a doddle to fit.

Difficult to get an exact measurement as the pipe is flexible, but I found some old pics I took...
