id be curious how much it goes for in the end, type r's have fairly dropped in price recently. I've seen really tidy ones near me with decent mileage say 70k going between 3200 - 3800. id of had one but couldn't justify the mpg just now

Will prices pick up in the next few years when they get rarer like decent EP3s? Not that I want to sell.

Unlikely, I'd say. It's unfortunate but the FN will probably never have the same cachet as something like a DC2 or DC5 - or even the EP3. It's a shame as they're decent cars once sorted and the last of the high-revving NA Hondas.

Good point.

Hopefully in years to come when there are enthusiasts that want high revs and have less choice due to the age / price of the older Type Rs, then this may cause some to settle on an FN2.

I'm pretty sure in years to come some of the very well preserved ones will go up in value.. BUT! I think it will be the unmolested and un-modded ones that will command the highest prices.. If you look at the prices of say for Instance Ford Escort MKII's, in mint condition they go for a fortune, even a MKIII Escort RS Turbo in mint condition goes for an eye watering price and i'd say having drove the Escort MKIII RS Turbo, the Civic R is far superior.

I think they will go up in value and especially full service history and low mileage cars. You just don't get them like this anymore!
