Ep3 problem

Hi. I’m new to the forum but I’ve always found this site useful information so I signed up. So I have a problem with my ep3. I was driving along then I heard a whine, which then got louder and louder, I was about to pull in to inspect where it was coming from, the a grinding noise started and the car stalled and now won’t turn over. Their are small grindings of metal around the aux pulleys. Would anyone have any idea what this may be? Just want ideas of what might of happened before I take it to a garage.

This is what I was thinking. It all happened really fast without any warning. Any way I could test this myself?

Just done this, a lot of movement and won’t turn freely. Seems like the pulley siezed.
