Clutch pedal

Mate at work has an issue with his clutch pedal,
He got in his car Saturday and as he was reversing off his drive he said he heard/felt something snap, the pedal was now stuck in the down position and would not release.

Garage collected the car today, had it all day and diagnosed a split seal seal replaced, clutch fluid bled 3 times
He's just messaged and said it doesn't feel right and the clutch is really low.

I'm not so sure about this garage, the chap didn't even know what the seals purpose is,

Any ideas as I was convinced it was a cylinder issue

i had an issue where the clutch pedal would sit about 2cm lower than normal, replaced clutch master cylinder and all good. worth noting that honda have a revised part for this so i guess the original one sucked ever so slightly. But your issue sounds different to what i had.

He's carried on driving it, the garage wanted it back a week later to re-drain the fluid
My mate isn't a normal type R owner, problems don't bother him and he won't bother fixing them, I know the majority of us would of jumped straight on it and had the lot replaced

There is air in the system, or there is air still getting into the system from somewhere.
