Starter Button

Wife had car today and after a stall when manoeuvring to park, car would not start on press of the starter button. No attempt to turnover the engine just nothing. This happened a few months ago to myself . Does anyone have any ideas ? Has this been experienced by any other members ?

Yes it happens to me sometimes.
If it starts on the second push then should not worry.
If it starts doing it on a regular/frequent basis then get it looked at.
Could be weak battery or sticking starter solenoid.

Not a fan of starter buttons personally; I was in a Friend's brand new focus with an "appliance" start button, where you press as though you are turning on a PC; I.e. instant single press - The starter motor engaged and was holding the engine at 500RPM - But didn't fire the engine! Just hung there! After a quick head scratch, pressed the button again and the motor stopped.
Then had to get out, shut down, walk out of key range, come back, get back in, clutch back in, and try again! - At least a proper key doesn't send you for a quick jog!

Dad's Alfa has a hold-down starter button, which is better - More akin to holding the key in to start.
