FN2 Clutch replacement - Honda

Hi, new Type R owner here (had Honda's for years).

Took it for its due service at Honda yesterday, had full service plus valve adjustment.

Came back everything was fine apart from front tyres at 3mm (I can live with that for now) which was highlighted as replace now, and the clutch as replace soon (the said around 6 months).

They quoted around 900 all in, which seemed a bit steep. I'm in Wigan and after doing some research I've seen that Grinspeed offer an Exedy OEM clutch fitted for 380. Is this a sensible option? Or can anyone offer advice on something better?

Grinspeed are highly respected Honda mechanic and Exedy clutch is a direct replacement. Price is also good.

Honda Hq in Cannock West Mids supply and fit same brand for 320 which inc gearbox oil change.

I would avoid Honda Stealers at all costs.

If you're in Wigan I would go to Grinspeed without question.

What were their reasons for saying the clutch needed replacing? Is it slipping?
