Hi there,
Used to ride 2008 1.8 sport but had to sell it a few years ago, but always missed it. I was planning to buy a 2007 ctr.
So my question is, in which parts should I pay attention ? I mean, clutch or motor noises or seats wear.
Well, i think I need a check-list 🙂
Thanks. Cheers

There was a buying guide on the forum but I can't find where it's gone.

Maybe admin can help.

If you have the budget I would get a much younger one - try 2009 onwards.
The early ones did not have all the toys and had some issues as you can read in the guide.

Money is a problem right now.
What about one from nov-december 2008 ?

Are your seats like new or all Fn2 have the seats with wear marks ?

Just buy the best one you can afford, base decision on condition of the car and service history.
Can't give you any better advice than that.

It is a Honda so will be bulletproof unless driven by a complete imbecile.

The seats in one that age will probably have some marks, if it is just dirt it can be cleaned with a normal car upholstery cleaner.
The most likely place for "damage" is on the driver's seat on the seat & side bolsters - the alcantara will bobble like a wool pullover.
This can be shaved very carefully with a normal razor.

Thanks mate.
I'd prefer 2009 but tax are very high here in belgium if you have a 2009. That's why I was looking for a 07 plate.
Will keep looking for a good one. I'm not in a hurry. Just wanna get rid of my old citroen c4 😕
Thanks again

The more electronic gizmos, the more to go wrong.

At least the 8G civics have a balance between old school and Starship Enterprise.
