Correct suspension strut assembly

I’m putting mine back with new parts, but upon taking my driver side off, i noticed the bump stop was loose and able to move up n down the pole. Whereas passenger side the bump stop was firm in the bearing.

So is the bump stop supposed to plug into the bearing, and then the boot cover plugs onto the bump stop. Also is the cover supposed to stay clipped on with the clips on the strut? I can put it on and it'll undo itself instantly. Not sure if thats by design? Also I realise the donut garage didn't put the end of the spring in line iwth the bearing, getting that sorted.

bump stop pushes into the bearing - takes some pressure but it fits tight into the bearing. I ran a little WD40 around the base of the bump stop and this helped it go in place. The dust cover secures tight over the bump stop at the top end. The bottom end should fit over the base of the strut, but mine were a bit baggy and kept coming back off, so I just cable tied around its base to secure it and keep it in place.
