service intervals

hello

had my type r for 7 months now but have only put 1500miles on it. It had a major service when i bought it (36k) and its just not been used too much. I have used it most weeks but have travelled to work with the wife more than usual so the type r has sometimes been parked up for a few days. Obviously time wise, a small service is due in late July but not due mileage wise...whats the best thing to do?...leave it another year?...just change the oil?...wait until i have done 46k?

don't want to waste money but don't want to risk any harm either..

........

I would stick with the service schedule mate.

12,500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes sooner.

Agreed, even when not used the oil will degrade, metal/pipes can rust/degrade etc.

...yes...thanks....was going to service it on time , just wondered if there was any stretch in the intervals for lowish mileage.

I seriously doubt a month or 2 would hurt anything
