Feel a right plonker

I brought a 07 plate Type R in October 55000 miles full Honda srvice history, it needed a little doing to it like refurb the alloys, 2 small parking dings, new tyre and tracking sorted so nothing major. All in all a bargin for £5500 right?
Thing is i went to trade her in as my circumstances have changed and i need a diesel car and no garage will touch it due to it having 8 previous owners!!!! My fault for not checking although i had a HPI check done.

The car runs like a dream, ok she is due a service in the next few months, MOT in March and road tax Febuary but nothing to put anyone off.

What is the genral consensus with previous owners? Sure you can get some nad owners and some good and also there is the aspect of a major fault and thats why its chaging hands quickly but i have a feeling something has gone wrong with a couple of personal number plate changes with DVLA.

imho it matters not a bit... if the car runs well, presents well and has fsh tgen does it matter how many its had? No. so what if folk bought it to sell on, didnt like it, circumstances change etc. If your getting that much grief spend a couple of quid and get an AA report done to accompany it. If the cars a good one it'll sell

Personally I wouldn't buy a car with more than 2-3 previous owners. This isn't because it bothers me, but I know how much it bothers other people when trying to sell it.

I think the fact your trying to offload it so soon combined with the number of owners wont be helping, suggests you have come to the same conclusion as the others.

Its not rare for a fn2 to have a lot of owners as people buy it on looks then sell up because of the ride I'm the 5th owner of mine for example but I have had it for almost 2 years as did the previous owner so I am hoping this wont leave me in the same situation if I decide to sell.

You did get it for a very good price imo if you stick it up online for £5k I think you will be able to sell otherwise will need to keep hold of it for a while I suspect unless your willing to loose thousands

8 previous owners and 55k...

The only thing that would put me off this car is the fact i wouldn't be able to sell it on! If i had the spare cash i'd take if off you for £5k and just completely strip it to the metal and use it as a track car...

£5k for a FN2 on 55kmiles is bargain of the century!

I myself have been wondering the same thing as most of you why so many? Kicking mysef like a donkey now....
Just saw a cheap Type R which drove well and snapped her up.
I have complete faith in the car and boy does she roar when you open the taps its just now i am traveling further its starting to hit the pocket.
Thnking at the moment to get her serviced, taxed for 6 months and MOT'd then stick her up for sale as she is.

It's more of a subjective thing isn't it. It's like "how many guys has your girlfriend been with before you dated her?"

Some people don't mind because she might have a great personality and works for you.

But personally, I'm one of those who would prefer maybe 2-3 previous owners is max!

I went on a date with a woman turns out she had mroe than 8 owners and her mileage was higher i had to leave asap¬!!!

8 owners would put me off majorly as each owner will treat it like a new play thing and spank its ass everywhere where as 9/10 an unmodded car people tend to calm down after a couple of months.

5k is still a bargain ill give you 3k tomorrow though
