New miltek or a second hand toda ???

550 seems a bit steep for a one that needs welding done to it ... Shouldn't be a problem since I can weld it but that's beside the point

New miltek.

Bottom line, you just dont know how many miles the used one has done. Regardless of the sellers assurances.

The insides get blown out/ worn out of every exhaust eventually.

Ive heard some sweet sounding bike exhausts, then they eventually go off and need re packed as they start to sound like crap.

What Dave 84 says. I had a Milltek years ago on a Vag and it feel apart inside. On a more positive note Milltek sorted it asap and sorted postage each way and sent a new system and a courier a few days later to get the old one- this was via AwesomeGTI. I had heard on some sites they know they are prone to failure and thats why they are so good and easy to deal with.

Personally I think the Milltek isn't that nice looking but a local fella has a full Toda system inc manifold and it is a lovely sounding system.

The positive to that is, some people think its the cat, the MOT tester did, even after I told him I have a race manifold.
