Thinking of Selling up, cost advice.

Thinking of selling my 59 plate FN2 GT to move onto something different, could anybody help me with pricing things up so I know what sort of money to ask for when I sell the car and its bits.

It will be put back to standard apart from the GP kit I will leave that on to attract more buyers.

59 plate FN2 registered sept 2009, FSH, 11 months tax with 43k miles. Has factory fitted HIDS as you would expect at that age. Will leave the tein springs, ferodo pads, hel lines and stoptech discs fitted. Roof resprayed under warranty a few months ago.

Parts that will be coming off it are

Buddy club P1 sf excellent condition 0 kerbing
milltek catback
tegiwa exhaust manifold
flash pro
hks RSK
RRC inlet
mugen grill, only just bought it so freshly painted at a honda dealership.

Pretty sure thats it ?

This is not a for sale thread btw, just after a bit of advice. If and when the parts become available then the correct sales procedure will be followed

dont sell your flashpro for anything less than 500 Andy, i bet its in top condition due to the little use these things get.
HKS RSK 250
RRC 250-300
Mugen Grille if all painted with badges, 400+ id reckon
Teg Mani, maybe 350-400
Miltek 300 depending on condition bud
Alloys, no idea, there quite sought after, but generally in 17"

Very nice, the better thing with the 10 is it's servicing is every 10000 miles and not 5000 which all the other evo's tend to get serviced.

If you've still got the original bumper inserts i'd highly advise removing your GP kit and selling seperately.

It seems nobody outside of this forum values the GP kit in any way, my local Honda dealer didn't even know what it was...

Infact, when I eventually sold my FN2 (back to Honda) I had it valued with the GP kit on, then on the day we exchanged /Keys the bumper was back to stock - and the value didn't budge a pence.

Better to have 400+ in your pocket

Yeah i have all the original parts, I think i better have a read about the internet and see what the deal with these evo's is. I mean i love the FN2 but getting power out of an NA engine is expensive. Im at 236bhp now, i would need to spend a lot to get to 250bhp wouldnt i?

Last few days i have been looking to get a more powerful car.

Was looking at a couple of Impreza's, an M3 etc.

Costs less to buy one of these than to buy Forced Induction for the civic... but obviously at the cost of a older car (in some cases), higher mileage or a higher running cost.

Most of the people i've spoke to tell me to keep the civic! Tell me to save for FI!

Suppose i'll try saving up...

If you do sell up I think unless you sell to another forum member or someone who knows there stuff and will appreciate your mods, its almost best to put the car back to standard and sell all the mods separate. I guess at the end of the day if your civic isn't delivering what you want out of your car you need to weigh costs of further mods vs another motor.
New car shopping is always fun.

Wouldnt have an M3..it would be an older one for the money i would want to spend. Had a tinker with one and made him work for it so not overly impressed by them.

I dunno, I do love the civic I just think it will cost too much money to get more power out of it.

I know if money wasn't an issue when I brought my FN2 I would have had a GTR,I had a ride in one and was so impressed, guess it depends on what you want out of car I think the FN2 is such a practical sized car but it allows you to have some weekend fun with out it costing you a lot.

I would get out test drive some other motors and then get back in your civic and think about it.
