FN2 acceleration times

Hey guys

I am looking for actual acceleration times from your standard and modded Type Rs Not using a stopwatch but those gps performance boxes

Recorded times from 0-100kph to 60-120 to 100-200kph and so on.

I would like only NA tuned FN2 times from your usual breather mods like intake, exhaust, inlet manifold to cams.

Some of you might find these sort of threads daft then look the other way

Cheers

Rune

FYI you can use FlashPro datalogs for pretty accurate 0-60 times, too.

Don't own a FN2 at the moment but I am seriously thinking about buying one again come July I wanna tune to 250 NA bhp over time but I am also thinking about getting a Seat Leon Cupra K1 and tune it to 370bhp for the same amount of money it takes to tune the FN2 to 250bhp. I love NA and the FN2 but can't figure out how much of a difference in acceleration a fn2 with cams and 250hp will be compared to my old CW with 220bhp.

30bhp will be noticeable but not dramatic. The best and cheapest way to go faster is to shed weight. I would think at 250bhp you'll be doing 0-60 is 6 seconds ish, without shedding weight. Also, there's tyre choice and gearing.

I dont have any of my own but found these stock times here I think though if your buying another FN2 to chase acceleration figures its the wrong car, I know you sold yours recently but have you forgot its more fun on the twists its about the feeling you get knowing that you have the ability to get round that corner safely but having a smile on your face.

Also I think adding a new intake/exhaust/manifolds etc will help a stock car but im sure its not going to make it loads difference or maybe the difference that your craving?

Im sure if your spending money on an already turbo'ed car you will probably get better acceleration and much higher Bhp than on an N/A engine but is that what you want? If so then maybe you did the right thing selling yours?

Hope thats not come over negative as its not meant to.
Maybe we should try and do some quater miles etc with un modded vs N/A modded cars to see what the outcomes are.

Will be interesting to see what the differences are in times though, Im at a point now wondering if I should mod more than just ride and brakes that I have planned and look at power as well?

Im sure Loxy posted a data log a few months ago which showed his 0-60 time as being around 5.5seconds and hes around 250bhp NA

*edit* found it (when i say a couple of months it was 7 months ago lol)

Somewhere half way... Leeds/Bradford airport runway??

Joking apart it sounds good to me. I know some good places round here but it means you coming over here. If you know somewhere half way between Hudds and Leeds and safe let me know
