How do I know if I have upgraded discs?

Just bought an FN2

Owner said he had upgraded Ferodo pads, plus Brembo discs.

But the disc is the same size. How do I know if they are Brembo as I have not looked at standard discs to compare?

PS, it appears Brembo do same size vented disc, will this make any difference? I have classed it as modified brakes on insurance, not sure I had to now?

Thanks.

Brembo have writing on the edge, the Ferodo pads have Ferodo in white print on the backs of the pads.

You didn't need to tell the insurance they are not an upgrade just better quality.

So they are direct replacements for OEM.

Felt slightly better braking, is that purely down to the pads.

No not just the pads, the discs have a better compound.
