1.6 Diesel CO2 levels

All the tests reports from Japan on the new 1.6 diesel engined Civics have suggested CO2 levels of 97 g/Km.

The current 2.2 range all give 110 g/Km except the EX GT which has 115 g/Km. Does anyone have firm confirmation (as opposed to speculation) that all the 1.6 trim levels will be sub 101 g/Km?

Sorry, this should have been posted in the general discussion section

Thanks bodgerx but the outstanding query is 'will the CO2 level rise above 100 g/Km for the top of the range EX GT due to the extra weight'?

I think the real question is will you be able to get a 1.6 iDTEC with a EX GT spec?

THe new Earth Dreams 1.6 Diesel will be sub 100 dont worry. it's being put in a variety of cars, not just the Civic and is rumoured to be in 110, 120, 150ps power outputs as well.

As for the grade of car it will be available in, they havent even started building the engines yet, let alone confirm the specs

Do you think they'll ruine it by adding a particulate filter?

I had heard that myself but wasn't sure. Sounds likely.
