There is probably 'no fix yet' until they have run out of a hangar full of the squeaky type.

Absolutely pathetic. Of course they can fix it. Same story with the front beepers, A/C whistle and SatNav wander.

I've been noticing some slight squeal with light braking (9G Facelift, very late model though, so possibly affected by "new" pads?)
Goes away with slightly more progressive braking:- It doesn't seem to be impacted by brake temperature, as it's occuring for the duration of the drive.

After 11,000 miles the squeaking on my 1.0 EX has finally disappeared. Hopefully it won't start again when the pads are changed.

Somebody mentioned in this thread that Honda are redesigning the brake pads and there will be a recall soon. I asked my dealer, but he didn't know anything about it. I contacted with the Honda UK, and they replied that "Honda UK is also not aware of the existence of such a recall".

So I think we are on our own, the only solution is to replace the brake pads with good quality aftermarket parts.

Just covered 4000 miles in my 10G and the front brakes have started to make a noise just before coming to a standstill, but its intermittent at the moment.

Will monitor and see if it gets worse or goes away.

On what do you base that idea? (but there's no need to say it again )

Not an idea.....fact. That's what comes from many weeks of investigation and fitting them to a long term test car.

My front brakes have started to squeak a little whenever I apply the foot brake. I looked at the brake pads through the wheel and the front ones seem a lot thinner compared to the back (see pics). Does anyone know by looking at the pictures, do I need to get the front pads changed urgently?

Squeaking pads usually means down to the wear indicator which means new front pads. How are the discs? Are they in need of replacing? Run your nail from the middle of the disc to the outside and if there's a big lip on the outer then in need of discs too.

most likely needs a change very soon. pads typically wear faster on the piston side of the caliper, you can only see the non-piston side. doubtful you'll discs unless your've done big mileage. 2-3 pad changes per disc is fairly typical on most cars.

I went to my dealer last week about the front brakes making the noise, started at 200miles and got told to let them bed in, at 800miles they cleaned the brakes and it fixed it for two days and now it's coming back again.
I've put a complaint to Honda UK saying if they can't provide me decent pads I want them to assure me they'll reimburse me for fixing it myself.

Also getting the front and rear parking sensors going off when it rains as well, starting to wish I'd never bought the car, it's been in production for two years so none of this should be happening to one bought in 2019, looking at the replies others are getting from dealers and honda I doubt I'll get anything properly fixed, will defiantly be my last honda if that's the case.

Honda won’t reimburse you as they will tell you it’s not a Honda official fix. I tried that one also. The easiest is just buy the pads and do it yourself and forget about it

Honda replaced my front pads under warranty.

There's a fix for the front sensor in the rain (grille gets replaced), I don't think they will stop you claiming that. Rear sensor going off is new to me, never heard of people having that problem.

Squealing brakes seems to be a hit and miss type of thing. My 10G brakes don't squeal (yet) but I suppose I am tempting fate here.
Just had my front grille changed for the beeper problem.

Mine only squeal when coming to a stop when turning. No squeal when stopping in a straight line.
