Silver FN2 Wheel Colour Change

Fancy a change from silver...Yes or No to this?

Anthracite is out as I have that colour on my S2000.

Looks decent.
Not many colours that would go with the silver and not look out of place.

gunmetal looks great against silver IMO.

I’m normally not a fan of gunmetal but do think it looks good against alabaster silver. That was one of the reasons why I went for polished face with gunmetal inserts.
Personal taste though

I agree.

It’s booked in for next Thursday so will update one the wheels are on.

No idea what to do regarding wheel center caps. Can you buy gunmetal transfers to stick over the top or should I go with the OEM colour?

Honda sell silver and black wheel nuts. I’m tempted to go with silver as I can see black chipping easily and they’re probably silver underneath anyway. Either way I’ll stick with OEM as I generally dislike most aftermarket options.

Silver FN2 Wheel Colour Change

Wheels have been done but need to be redone. Apparently the “normal” amount of oven time needed wasn’t enough and the wheels continued to gas post painting causing pit marks all over the wheels. The guy blamed the quality of alloy over his workmanship. He’s going to redo them and increase the oven time. No idea what to expect and whether to believe him.

Only positive is I really like the colour.

colour does look good, someone should be able to tell you about wheel centres.

Stick with the chrome nuts, the black ones will chip over time.
Cox motor parts were doing a complete set of 20 for £31 (so i bought one to go with my refurb)

I feel your pain mate, mine were done twice (pitting/fish eyes etc) and I'm still not totally happy with the finish, but it will have to do ... I spent about 2 hours claying/polishing them over the weekend because of the lacquer overspray.

They tried to tell me the pitting and fish eyes were 'normal' because its a 'refurb'! To be fair, they did agree to strip them and do them again though.

Had mine sprayed the same time as the refurb, sent new decals to the company and they put them on and lacquered after.

I really like the gunmetal against the silver, so definitely gets my vote.
