Creaking Rear Suspension

I have a creaking noise from the drivers side rear. It sounds like its coming from the top mount, I have heard about tightening it and/or greasing? How do I do this?

"they all do that, Sir"

The bush inside the shock gets dry and makes the creak/squeak until the suspension has moved and settled.
It was a warranty fix and can be sorted by dealer with a special tool & grease but eventually comes back, it has on mine.

If it goes away after a few seconds of driving then don't worry, if it doesn't then get it looked at.

It's been doing it for a few weeks now. Given it's a 2008 can it still be fixed under warranty?

Does it do any long term harm if we ignore this? Only happens when I get in and out the car?

The fix was posted as "only if customer requests fix" so I would assume that there's no real issue.

Both my FN2 and 1.8 Si do it. CTR has had the "fix" the Si hasn't.
