Max wheel size, will it fit?

Hi, trying to figure out if 225/50/17 wheels fit on my 2014 civic.

What would the limits be for 15", 16", 17" and 18" in width and aspect ratio?

found this chart online:

Tires for Honda Civic 2012
  • Diameters: 15.0'' - 18.0''
  • Width (mm): 195 - 225
  • Tire aspect ratio (%): 40 - 65
  • Smallest tire size: 195/65R15
  • Largest tire size: 225/40R18

Compare tyre circumferences at http://www.willtheyfit.com

Why are you looking to stray from the recommended sizes?

If you stray from the recommendation, then the speedo, mileage counters will be out.

Thanks for the reply, basically its because I have the 225/50 wintertires already and it would be nice if I didn't have to buy new ones.

The 50 profile should be okay if your car is running standard ride height.

Do your winter wheels have the same Civic stud pattern/PCD?

Yeah, standard height.
And yes, as far as i can tell, 5/114.3, 17" Honda wheels from an 2010 Accord.

Good, they should be okay then.

Try one on the front and whilst jacked up, check steering lock to lock.
