Adjusting handbrake on 2.2 diesel?

Ive recently replaced discs and pads on my 06 Civic. Ive taken apart the centre console (where all the hondas ive worked on are adjusted) and there is no adjustment nut!

Is it self adjusting or is it located underneath the car?

Hmmmm, on the 8th gen the adjustment nut is under the handbrake cowling, accessible inside the cabin.

You actually don't need to remove the arm rest, as you can access the adjuster from the front of the arm rest cubby hole with a deep 10mm socket.

Is the 9th gen different?

Ha ha cheers done another search and found a writeup with pics. You're correct adjustment is the same as all 8th gen civic inside the armrest. Remove the gromet the adjustment nut is literally on the handbrake unlike older Honda where its further down where the cables split.

I'll throw some pics up later of the console removed indicating where the nut is.
