Front Brake problem

Hi i have a problem with my Front brakes i just had them replaced and about a week after i started to hearing a knocking sound nearly everytime i pushed the foot brake so i took the car to a garage and they could not find the cause so they greased the calipers this was ok for a week but started makin the noise again

any idea what is causing this?

Often caused by the pads having too much tolerance in them, causing them to "knock" into place when braking. Unfortunately it's just bad fit. Not much you can do apart from replace them.

Or maybe they weren't able to reuse the pad guides/shims.

they had ordered brakes and shims did not come with the brakes......... are shims meant to be on all honda brakes?

Some pads don't​ the come with shims, some do.

Found the problem The garage had installed the wrong size of brakes she ones they installed were not sitting in tight so when i applied pressure on the pad it was moving and knocking on the part holding the pad
