Mk8 Alloys on Mk9 Civic

Hi all,

I know this has been asked before but I can’t find a certain answer. Does anyone know if standard 17” wheels from the Mk8 will fit the Mk9 only difference I can see in fit is that the Mk8 are ET 55 not 50, will they foul the suspension?

Reason I’m asking is that my Mk8 has been written off and looking to replace it with a Mk9 and don’t want to waste my winters if possible - also I can’t find a set of Mk9 alloys to buy!

Thanks in advance.

Yes they fit fine, only thing I donít like is that my 08 17 inch on the rear axle of the 09 were to much in the wheel arch, so I put my spacers on the rear axle of the 09. Now it looks better.

If mk9 wheels are et50 and yours et55, if the same width, as pointed out the wheels will finish mounted closer to the car 5mm each side compared to an et55 wheel. If the wheels were narrower, the wheel outer edge would be closer still.
