Hi guys, So the clutch pedal on my fn2 use to have a biting point about half way up and had some resistance when pushing it. It was a bit heavier than the cars I've had in the past but I just accepted it. Over the past week I've noticed my biting point has gone lower and lower and changing...

Hi, I have 2007 1,8 civic hb. Today I realised that my car doesn't stop when I left it engaged to reverse gear on hill without handbrake. It moves down a bit ( I think one stroke long ) then stops then move a bit more. What may cause to this and is it important for my cars health.

I quite fancy fitting a new gear knob to my new 1.0L EX but I saw somewhere on YouTube that the gearknob is no longer a separate part. Is this correct? Seems a shame if I can't if the nice shiny red one I found on Amazon - although its described as for a gen. 8 Civic.

Evening, This is on my 2008 Type R. I've taken my car to a mate and he's a bit confused as to what might be wrong with my car. Basically I can select gears (2,3,4,5,6 and Reverse) but no 1st, it's like it doesn't exist. He's checked the linkage, adjusted the clutch biting point (as it was...

Hi All, Picked up a CTR at weekend and I've actually started looking forward to driving to work... :D One of my niggles though is the gear knob, I get clammy hands [smilie=umm2.gif] and the gear stick being metal means it gets slippery [smilie=disgust.gif] which is annoying. I've searched...

Hey everyone, this isnt a question on how to change the gear surround and add a gaitor thread.... I have had a facelift 2.2 for about a year now, steadily modifying with the help of the forum. One thing that really grated on me when i got the car was the orb style gear knob base, so i bought an...

Hi everyone. I've seen the threads on here on how to remove the gear surround and they all say that it should just pop out from the top. Mine will not budge! I really need to get mine out to fit a new leather gaitor without scratching the surround? Any ideas? There isn't any room to get...

Hi Civic people! Usually when I take the exit of a highway I change from the 6th gear to the neutral position and let the car decelerate until I get to the intersection, then I change it to 2nd or 3rd gear. My question is : It is a good practice to leave the gear box in the neutral position...

Does anyone have any ideas on a smart replacement to the standard 6 speed knob? I've been browsing about and there is even a new leather or suede gaiter sold now on *bay to fit the civic 06-. No clear instructions on this bit of kit though. IMO the standard knob doesn't compliment the leather...
