Hello:)

Does anyone know how often this should happen? The dealer said every 40.000km or every 4 years. Seems rather fast. Perhaps someone still has his manual to check.

Thanks:)

My Honda service sheet says - replace transmission fluid at 120,000km (75,000miles) or 8 years for manual transmission (MT).(I'm assuming yours is a Manual transmission). It says for the CIVIC HYBRID, replace fluid every 40,000km (25,000m) or 2 years. So I suspect your dealer does not know what they are talking about, like most of them.

The story changes every so often. I (well the GF but that's irrelevant:p) only do 10.000 km per year so they once told me (years ago) it has to be changed during every large maintenance (= every 2 years = 20.000 km for me). On the invoices there is no mention that it has been changed since 2007.

And just a few hours ago they said it was every 40.000 km. go figure. I never got a manual so I've never been able to check lol.
