My 67 plate Tourer has an annoying habit it traffic. Lift the clutch and the revs rise to around 1000 presumably because Honda think all drivers are a bit dim and will stall the car without this feature. My old 2.2 would drop the revs back down if you disengaged the clutch. So does our 10 gen 1.6 but the Tourer keeps the revs at 1000 until you take it out of gear and take your foot off the clutch completely.
So in slow moving traffic the revs are at 1000 all the time.
My dealer can’t do anything about this apparently.
Do others experience this fuel wasting feature?

Mine does it when I depress the clutch and if I let the clutch back out it goes back down to about 750rpm ish….

No I don’t think there’s a fault. Just annoying that you have to keep talking it out of gear and releasing the clutch to get the revs to drop back down
