Hi guys,

After my day trip to ABP for the suspension the tunning bug is catching, now looking to tune the engine, I know it's only a 1.8 but just looking to improve the drive.

I would assume induction, exhaust, remap would be my route.

Any suggestion or previous owners experiences of do or donts would be appreciated.

Cheers
Phil

I believe Miltek are working on an exhaust system.
Elite in the UK are doing a remap for around £300
as for induction the K&N 57i kit certainly improves throttle response and is a bit of fun.
There are people on here who have had the Elite remap who can offer more advice.

If it were me I would go down the route of milltek exhaust, k&n filter either drop in or 57i kit which ever takes your fancy. Then top it all off nicely with an elite remap.
You wont get huge gains but it should be more response and nice to drive.

Spot on! I wouldnt look at doing more than that unless you've got more money than sense. These are all worthwhile mods. I think JDR is also looking at some other mods that are worth considering.

I think JDR has some kind of throttle response electronic gizmo thingy which he likes. The 1.8 is already a pretty respectable engine but has alot of potential

Yip that's what i was planning as don't want any reliability issues so supercharger ain't an option.

Will look at kn57i and miltek in the new year, I would assume cat back would be best option.

Elite remap after? I assume that would take a day to install remap etc?
