Hi all,

New to the forum and recently purchased a pre face lift FK3.

I checked the oil level yesterday and noticed there is a significant crack across the top of my oil filler cap. Honda want around £25 for a genuine plastic replacement, but I was wondering if anyone had used an aftermarket cap and which ones will fit.

I have seen a picture somewhere of a 2.2 with a gold mugen Cap but I wanted to be sure before buying one.

Thanks,

Matt.

Consider a scrap yard

Many moons ago when I had a Nissan Sunny I forgot to replace the fuel filler cap after fuelling up. At the time Nissan wanted about £15 for a replacement cap. Advice I received at the time was to steer clear of aftermarket caps as they were never quite a perfect fit. Went to the scrap yard and got a Nissan cap for £2.

IMHO I'd advise the same unless you have aesthetic needs for an after market oil filler cap.
